Filming barely stops for the holidays so let’s take a look at some Vancouver productions shooting this month.
Reginald The Vampire – Season 1
Let’s start with the one brand new production coming to Vancouver this month. Reginald The Vampire starring Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man trilogy) and based on The Fat Vampire series by Johnny B. Truant films it first season this month. The comedy will run first on Syfy and no word yet on how filming will last.
Firefly Lane – Season 2
Another book adaption this time Netflix’s Firefly Lane is filming in Vancouver this month. Based on the book by Kristin Hannah the show stars Katherine Heigl (Suits) and Sarah Chalke (Scrubs). It tells the story of two best friends who have been there for each other for decades.
Riverdale – Season 6
The teen soap thriller that is Riverdale will be shooting in Metro Vancouver for the next few months. That means more of Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead and the little town with a lot of secrets. The show airs on The CW in the US and on Netflix in most other territories.
Motherland: Fort Salem – Season 3
This month the Freeform supernatural teen show Motherland: Fort Salem is filming in the Vancouver area. Previously announced as the final season, season 3 will be filming at locations including Coquitlam, Surrey, Langley and Horseshoe Bay. The show is set in an alternative world where witches are conscripted into the United States Army and follows three new recruits. The shows airs on ABC Spark in Canada.
The Good Doctor – Season 5
The Good Doctor is back in Vancouver for filming. Starring Freddie Highmore (The Vault), the show revolves around a surgeon with autism who thinks outside the box and is recruited to work at a prestigious hospital. Production for the fifth season will continue into April 2022. The ABC show is an adaption of a 2013 South Korean series of the same name.
Charmed – Season 4
The reimagining of the early 2000s hit show Charmed is currently filming season four in Vancouver. The show stars Sarah Jeffery (The Descendants), Melonie Diaz (The First Purge) and Madeleine Mantock (Into The Badlands). It follows three sisters who come together after the death of their mother and discover they are powerful witches.
The Flash – Season 8
Season 8 of The Flash continues filming in the city. Production is set to end in March 2022. Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen/The Flash and with his team he fights threats to Central City.
A Million Little Things – Season 4
A Million Little Things is currently in production in Vancouver and expected to continue shooting into April 2022. The show stars David Giuntoli, Romany Malco and Allison Miller and follows a tight-knit group of friends who come together and realize what truly matters in life after one of them suddenly passes away.
Resident Alien – Season 2
Another Syfy show filming now in Vancouver is season 2 of Resident Alien. Filming will last until March on the series that stars Alan Tudyk (Firefly) as an alien spying on Earth in the guise of a small town doctor.
Superman & Lois – Season 2
Superman & Lois has been filming in the Metro Vancouver area since September and production will continue into January for its second season. The show has proved to be a big hit with fans and somewhat invigorated the Arrowverse. It stars Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) and Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm).
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – Season 7
The crazy time travelling adventure that is DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is filming its seventh season in Vancouver. The show follows a ragtag group of heroes, villains and those in between who come together to save the world.
