The Irrational the new drama starring The Flash’ alumni and veteran actor Jesse L. Martin is set for a Fall premiere at NBC.
Alec Mercer is a world-renowned leader in behavioral science who lends his expertise to an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement, and corporations with his unique and unexpected approach to understanding human behavior.
Maahra Hill, Travina Springer, Molly Kunz and Arash DeMaxi also star.
Jesse L. Martin is a behavioural science professor Alec Baker who works on cases with governments & corporations. Maahra Hill is FBI agent Marisa, who finds herself teaming up with Alec on cases. Travina Springer is Alec’s younger sister Kylie. Molly Kunz is Alec’s protege Phoebe, pursing her master’s degree in psychology. Arash DeMaxi is psychology grad student Owen.
Written by Mittman, The Irrational is based on Dan Ariely’s bestselling novel Predictably Irrational. Mittman executive produces with Mark Goffman and Samuel Baum, while Ariely serves as a consultant. David Frankel directs and also serves as executive producer. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
The show filmed in Vancouver from 21 March 2023 until 06 July 2023. It has been moved up on the schedule in the ongoing upheaval.
The Irrational premieres Monday, September 25 at 10/9c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
