The show is an adaptation of the legendary Law and Order brand. Based on the classic series created by Dick Wolf for Universal Television, Law and Order Toronto: Criminal Intent will showcase original Canadian stories written and produced by, and starring, Canadians. As a psychological thriller wrapped in a criminal investigation, Law and Order Toronto: Criminal Intent follows an elite squad of detectives who investigate high-profile crime and corruption in metro Toronto.
Aden Young plays Detective Sergeant Henry Graff with Kathleen Munroe as Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman. Karen Robinson is Inspector Vivienne Holness and K.C. Collins plays Deputy Crown Attorney Theo Forrester. Shadowhunters alum Nicola Correia-Damude portrays Forensic Pathologist Dr. Lucy Da Silva and Araya Mengesha is tech expert Mark Yohannes.
Tassie Cameron is the showrunner, Lark Productions, Amy Cameron’s Cameron Pictures, Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment, Citytv, Universal Entertainment are producers on the project.
Law & Order is an international brand in every way as we have discussed here. This is not the first international spinoff of the beloved crime and punishment drama.
