SCHMIGADOON! Gets Curtain Call – Cancelled After 2 Seasons

AppleTV+ have opted to not renew musical series Schmigadoon! for a third season it has emerged.

In Schmigadoon! backpacking couple Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) discovered a magical town called Schmigadoon. In the town everyone acted as if they were in musicals from the 1940s and 1950s — like Brigadoon, The Carousel, Oklahoma and The Music Man.

The co-creator Cinco Paul revealed the news via his social media also sharing that season 3 was written including its songs.

Joining the two leads are Ariana DeBose, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. The show’s co-creators are Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul. The AppleTV+ show earned more than 30 nominations for awards as well as winning 9.

Season 2 filmed in Vancouver specifically in a hangar at the Pitt Meadows airport. Filming schedule went from June 13 2022 to August 06 2022. Season 1 also filmed in Vancouver back in 2020.

Seasons 1 and 2 present the fantasy town in two very different ways. The first season the songs and settings are modelled on musicals of the 40s and 50s. Season 2 changed things up with a style and songs based on musicals of the 60s and 70s. First question for the comments which was your favourite season and why?
