Catherine O’Hara Joins THE LAST OF US

Catherine O’Hara revealed recently that she would be joining the cast of HBO’s The Last of Us.

The news came from a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. On the show she stated that she was in talks for a role on The Last of Us. This news was later confirmed by HBO, they however did not specify any information on the role. Subsequent reports later suggest that she will play a character called Gail.

Catherine O’Hara has had an illustrious career spanning nearly 50 years. To one generation she’ll be recognisable as Kevin’s mother from Home Alone series. For another she’s the matriarch of Schitt’s Creek Moira. What is your favourite O’Hara role? Please let us know in the comments.

The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Kaitlyn Dever, Young Mazino and Isabela Merced. Craig Mazin, Neil Druckmann are co-creators and writers on the project. Filming for season 2 begins later this month on 20 February and runs to 9 September. Shooting this year moves from Alberta to BC.

The HBO adaption is based on the best selling Playstation story driven zombie game series. The franchise has sold 37 million copies since its initial release.
