Thriller TRAP Filmed At FirstOntario Centre

Have you seen the trailer for upcoming thrill Trap from M. Night Shyamalan? The venue used is Ontario’s FirstOntario Centre.

A father and teen daughter attend a pop concert, where they realize they’re at the center of a dark and sinister event.

Trap stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill.

FirstOntario Centre looms large in the unsettling trailer which you can see below. Filming began on 16 October 2023 and ran until 8 December 2023.

M. Night Shyamalan had this to say when he spoke with NME about the project.

It’s a thriller. It’s very unusual and very new compared to what I’ve been trying to do [recently], but I’m feeling very excited about the story . . .[it] might be something that you’ve seen before but the angle is very, very unique – the point of view.

The film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, in theatres only nationwide on August 9, 2024 and internationally beginning on 1 August, 2024.
