ALLEGIANCE Renewed For Season 2 At CBC

Supinder Wraich led drama Allegiance will return for a season 2 with CBC giving the green light for renewal.

Allegiance follows Sabrina Sohal (Supinder Wraich), a fresh police academy graduate dealing with her father’s arrest. The show delves into racism, class, and power, while maintaining gripping tension. With Canada’s natural beauty as a backdrop, it’s an intriguing watch that tackles universal issues.

The show delves into the Sikh Punjabi community in the heart of Surrey, portraying the experiences of a South Asian woman and her family as they navigate issues of identity, belonging and the complexities of the justice system.

“It’s crucial to grasp Sabrina’s recent loss of her father to the judicial system and her challenges entering a hostile work environment. Dealing with her brother’s scepticism towards the police adds another layer of emotional turmoil.”
