7 new features are on the way this August. This will consist of two brand new mysteries and five rom-coms.
Nelly Knows Mysteries
When Calls the Heart co-stars Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith will star in Nelly Knows Mysteries (a working title, which could change). In the movie, Pascale Hutton plays Nelly, a woman who receives a strange letter from her friend Dahlia, who claims her boyfriend, Blake, is being unfaithful to her. Nelly goes to Blake’s house to confront him but instead finds his dead body. Dahlia becomes the prime suspect and Nelly must convince the handsome local detective assigned to the case (played by Kavan Smith) to find the real killer.
Jazz Ramsey: A K-9 Mystery
When Jazz Ramsey and her crime detection dog Zeus stumble upon an old crime scene, the K9 trainer, her star pup, and ex-boyfriend and lead detective Nick are thrown into the investigation. Starring Rachel Skarsten and Corey Sevier.
Junebug
Autumn Reeser and Aaron O’Connell star in romantic comedy Junebug. Reeser stars as Juniper, who begins to see an 8-year-old version of herself wherever she goes. This younger version reminds Juniper, or “Junebug,” of all the things she had hoped to accomplish in her life. With Junebug’s help, Juniper begins writing again and takes a chance on a handsome artist (Aaron O’Connell) who comes into her life.
My Dreams of You
Skyler Samuels and Kapil Talwalkar lead My Dreams of You. Samuels taking on a new role after portraying a young Aurroa Teagarden in a reboot of one of Hallmark’s biggest mysteries. Here she plays a woman who has a recurring dream about a handsome stranger (played by Talwalkar). To her surprise, she comes face to face with him in real life.
A Costa Rican Wedding
Rhiannon Fish, is she a Hallmark veteran yet? stars in A Costa Rican Wedding. She plays the clumsy maid of honour entrusted with the task of making her best friend’s Destination Wedding a reality. She finds herself having to work with her handsome nemesis (Christopher Russell) when things start to awry.
The Magic of Lemon Drops
When Lolly’s (played by Lyndsy Fonseca) Aunt gives her three magical lemon drops, she gets to experience what her life would have been like if she had made different choices and lived those unfulfilled dreams. Ian Harding (Pretty Little Liars) also stars.
Head Over Heels
A suburban girl at heart, Addison (Dalton), is off to prove herself in the world of high-end fashion footwear when she lands a life-changing internship at an Upper East Side studio leading up to the star-studded New York Fashion Week. Addison is determined to hold onto her integrity and her family values while struggling to balance it all and forge a path to success and romance, although she may fall head over heels while trying to make her dreams come true.
