Star Trek: Section 31 was one of the many Star Trek properties at the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 Panel.
Section 31 is the covert ops division of Starfleet. While traditional Starfleet members hear whispers of its existence, it’s not officially acknowledged by the organization. Their goal is to further the Federation’s goals when all other traditional methods of diplomacy fall apart. They get some leverage to operate right at the line of what’s acceptable.
The organisation has appeared in various Star Trek series including Star Trek: Enterprise and Deep Space Nine.
Michelle Yeoh reprises her role as Emperor Philippa Georgiou from Star Trek: Discovery. Joining Yeoh will be also stars Omari Hardwick (Power), Kacey Rohl (Hannibal), Emmy-winner Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), Sven Ruygrok (One Piece), Robert Kazinsky (Pacific Rim), Humberly Gonzalez (Ginny & Georgia) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry).
Check out the teaser trailer below.
Star Trek: Section 31 is a special movie event that follows Emperor Georgiou as she continues to work with the covert department of Starfleet.
This was just one of a number new and ongoing Star Trek projects mentioned at its SDCC panel.
