Samara Weaving Returns for READY OR NOT 2

Samara Weaving is set to star in fan favourite horror comedy sequel Ready Or Not 2.

The original film premiered in 2019 and hails from Radio Silence also known for the most recent Scream sequels.

Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy wrote the first film with Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directing. It follows a young bride who discovers at her wedding reception that her in-laws have a peculiar game-night ritual that turns into a predator-prey, murder-spree version of Hide and Seek—all because of a deal her in-laws made with the devil.

As well as Weaving returning for Ready or Not 2 Busick and Murphy will return to write the script. Tripp Vinson, Bradley J. Fischer, William Sherak, and James Vanderbilt are producers on the project. Villella and Tara Farney will executive produce. On the Searchlight side, executive Cornelia Burleigh and Richard Ruiz, VP of production, will be on set, reporting to production and development co-heads DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas.

The first film shot in locations across Toronto including Casa Loma, Sunnybrook Park, the Claireville Conservation Area, and the Parkwood Estate in Oshawa, Ontario. With a, by Hollywood’s standard tiny budget of $6 million the film made $28 million in North America with a $57 million Global Box Office.
