
Watson, the medical drama will return for a second season CBS confirmed its renewal.

The show is set just a few months after the death of the titular character’s friend and partner Sherlock Holmes at the hands of Moriarty. The show focuses on Dr. John Watson who resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders.
Watson’s old life isn’t done with him, though – Moriarty and Watson are set to write their own chapter of a story that has fascinated audiences for more than a century. Watson is a medical show with a strong investigative spine, featuring a modern version of one of history’s greatest detectives as he turns his attention from solving crimes to solving medical mysteries.
The series opened with 9.58 million viewers for its premiere after the AFC Championship game. It averages just under 6.8 million viewers per episode according to Nielsen. Nielsen just deals with linear views but it is important to note that Watson’s premiere drew an additional 7 million views via Paramount+ over 6 weeks.
Meet The Cast
Rochelle Aytes as Dr. Mary Morstan. Described as one of the best surgeons on the East Coast she is the Medical Director of the hospital. She is also Dr. Watson’s ex-wife. Peter Mark Kendall as twins Dr. Stephens Croft and Dr. Adam Croft. Stephens specialized in infectious diseases at John Hopkins. While Adam excelled in athletics, until an injury led him to functional medicine at Boston University.
Eve Harlow as mysterious neurologist Dr. Ingrid Derian, whose ruthless and sometimes questionable practices remind Watson of his late friend Sherlock Holmes.
Inga Schlingmann, as Dr. Sasha Lubbock, who double-boarded in rheumatology and immunology. Dr. Watson recruited her from one of the world’s most prestigious genetics clinics.
Ritchie Coster as Shinwell Johnson, a Brit and tough guy who serves as an “administrative aide” at the new clinic.
Craig Sweeny is the showrunner and executive produces. Other executive producers are Chestnut, Sallie Patrick, Larry Teng, Shäron Moalem MD, PhD, Aaron Kaplan for Kapital Entertainment, and Brian Morewitz.
Season 1 filming took place in Vancouver at the Bridge Studios. Shooting ran from 17 June through 22 November 2024.
