Allegiance Renewed For Season 3 At CBC

CBC has handed Surrey-based crime drama Allegiance a Season 3 renewal.

The new season sees Sabrina Sohal (Supinder Wraich) join the Serious Crimes Unit of the CFPC and work with a new partner Detective Corporal Zak Kalaini (Samer Salem), who has a decade more experience than her and a very different approach to the job.

Sabrina is determined to prove herself worthy of her new position and take down the man responsible for framing her father for treason, while navigating a complex love life and an equally complicated family life.

Allegiance focuses on identity and belonging, policing and politics, and finding truth within the heart of a flawed justice system.

The news of the procedural’s renewal comes amid the renewal of a number of scripted shows at CBC.

International Appeal

Recently Allegiance has been picked up for broadcast in the UK, the first of public service broadcaster recent shows to do so. The UKTV network acquired the show which will air on U&alibi. The first two seasons will be available in the UK.

Allegiance Season 3 stars Supinder Wraich, Enrico Colantoni, Samer Salem, Stephen Lobo, Adolyn H. Dar, David Cubitt, Crystal Balint, Toby Levins, Melanie Papalia and Andres Joseph.

Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern serve as showrunners on Allegiance. Lark Productions and Universal International Studios are producing the project.
