Josette Jorge (Saint-Pierre) has joined the cast of indie feature The Way You Dance.

The Way You Dance follows a dancer returning home to care for his estranged father with terminal cancer. There he finds redemption, healing, and purpose by mentoring a diverse community dance class – including a transgender teen struggling to live authentically.
Jorge will play Gloria Garcia-Campanelli, the high school best friend of main protagonist Twinkle Lee, played by accomplished dancer Kyle Toy. She recently won the 2025 Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Performer, Children’s or Youth. Tzi Ma also stars in the feature.
“When I saw Josette win the Canadian Screen Award on my Facebook feed, I felt compelled to meet her—as a fellow Canadian Screen Award winner myself—and instantly became a fan after we connected. I am thrilled to be collaborating with such a talented rising Asian creative and deeply admire her work as both an actor and writer.” – Quentin Lee, writer-director-producer.
Production will begin on the project on 22 September 2025 in the Vancouver and Langley areas of British Columbia.
The Way You Dance is an independent dance-driven dramedy feature film. Quentin Lee wrote and directed the feature. Cindy Au Yeung and Lee produce with Alan Chu and Kevin Huie through BC-based Margin Films Ltd. Jennifer Price and Colette Johnson-Vosberg are executive producers.
