Simu Liu Stars In THE COPENHAGEN TEST

Simu Liu (Shang-Chi) will star in upcoming Sci-Fi thriller The Copenhagen Test alongside Melissa Barrera (Abigail).

This espionage thriller series follows first-generation Chinese-American intelligence analyst Alexander Hale (Simu Liu) who realizes his brain has been hacked, giving the perpetrators access to everything he sees and hears. Caught between his shadowy agency and the unknown hackers, he must maintain a performance 24/7 to flush out who’s responsible and prove where his allegiance lies.

Filming for The Copenhagen Test took place in Toronto 22 October 2024 to 06 March 2025.

The show will consist of eight episodes. Thomas Brandon serves as creator, writer and executive producer for the series alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Jennifer Yale. James Wan, Michael Clear and Rob Hackett are executive producers for Atomic Monster, with Simu Liu also an executive producer. Mark Winemaker and Jet Wilkinson serves as executive producer, with Wilkinson directing the first two episodes

The Copenhagen Test stars Simu Liu, Melissa Barrera, Sinclair Daniel, Brian d’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien, Kathleen Chalfant, Sara Amini and Saul Rubinek.

The series will premiere on 27 December 2025
