Dayle McLeod has announced the World Premiere of her personal documentary Day of My Death at the BLM Wildseed Center.

South African/Canadian actor Dayle McLeod did not know anything about her heritage until–her ancestors started appearing in her dreams instructing her to learn their mother tongue, Zulu, and travel to South Africa to undergo the rigorous rites of passage of the traditional healer or Sangoma.
This Short, Personal documentary shot on her iphone follows Dayle to S.A for the ‘Intwaso’ ceremony (‘Day of Your Death’) which takes three months to prepare for, under the strict and harsh tutelage of elder Sangomas.
Through undergoing this hero’s journey Dayle finds strength and wholeness that reverberates throughout her family and lineage.
Following the documentary will be a Panel Discussion on Ancestral Healing. The panel will be the Filmmaker, and Special Guests Ravyn Wngs & Makhosi Ingwe. The event takes place at The Black Lives Matter Wildseed Center in Toronto on Thursday Feb 5 2026.
