Alexander Ludwig Directorial Debut Indie Drama BILLINGS Sets Cast

Alexander Ludwig (Vikings) will direct and star in indie drama Billings and we have the rest of the cast announcements.

Also starring are Carla Gugino (Heads of State), Grace Beedie (Zero Chill), Taylor Hickson (North of North) and James Jordan (Yellowstone).

Billings centers on a young girl (Beedie) battling cystic fibrosis whose fragile stability is shattered when her access to healthcare and life-sustaining medication is suddenly cut off. With the clock ticking and survival on the line, her brother Easton (Ludwig) is forced to confront a broken system. Ultimately he takes matters into their own hands by robbing pharmacies to obtain the medicines to keep his sister alive, underscoring the sad and unforgiving realities of modern American healthcare.

Filming on the project takes place in Enderby, British Columbia. The City of Enderby is in the North Okanagan region of the Canadian province of British Columbia, between Armstrong and Salmon Arm. It is approximately 80 km north of Kelowna and 130 km east of Kamloops.

Locations use include Enderby Library and downtown Enderby. Shooting took place in December 2025. Enderby is also the home of Enderby Entertainment – the company founded by Enderby native Rick Dugdale.

Ludwig co-wrote the script alongside Hunter Maats. Rick Dugdale of Enderby Entertainment (Intrigo, An Ordinary Man), Sharlene Ludwig, and Stephanie Simon are producing, with Preston Cook co-producing.

Billings‘ creative team is hoping to make a real-world impact. This comes through the launch of a companion resource website, BillingsForAmerica.com. The site hopes to help Americans better understand and navigate the U.S. healthcare system. Including access pathways for critical medications and information intended to support families facing similar crises.
