It looked more and more likely in recent months but we now know that Green Arrow & The Canaries isn’t going forward at the CW.

There is no official statement from the CW to go along with the cancellation. The confirmation comes from a Variety article. We met Mia Smoak (Kat McNamara), Oliver Queen’s other child in season 7 of Arrow. After the death of Oliver Queen it seemed that Mia would take over as their city’s protector.
The backdoor pilot for project aired during the final season of Arrow, set twenty years after the current timeline. It showed Mia taking on her father’s mantle to protect Star City. Along with help from Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy) and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy).
This news comes with Arrowverse shows about to return after an extended Covid break. With Supergirl and Black Lightning both set to end after this upcoming season. Batwoman returns later this month with a new lead Javicia Leslie taking over the Cowl while Superman & Lois is set for release next month.
