
The world at large is currently trying to recover and open back up meanwhile the film industry ticks on. Let’s see what’s been cooking in Toronto this month.

First up we have CBC crime drama Coroner which stars Serinda Swan (Breakout Kings). This will be filming its fourth season in Toronto this month and also stars Roger Cross (Dark Matter), Tara Podemski (Cracked), Ehren Kassam (Degrassi: Next Class) and Saad Siddiqui (The Hardy Boys). The series is based on the novel series by M.R. Hall and also airs in the US on the CW Network.

Next up is film feature Luckiest Girl Alive based on the best-selling book by the same name by Jessica Knoll, who is also writing the screenplay. Mila Kunis is set to star in the film about a woman who seems to have it all. The book was author Knoll’s debut award winning work and is described as a Mystery/Thriller.

Finally we have the Post-apocalypse mini-series Station Eleven based on the novel of the same name by Emily St. John Mandel. The series follows a world devastated by a pandemic, moving back and forth from before and after the outbreak. It stars Mackenzie Davis and Himesh Patel.
