Taylor Cole (The Originals) has signed a new multi-picture deal with Crown Media Family Networks.
Cole becomes the latest in a line of actors with multiple appearances Hallmark acquired by Crown Media or GAC. One of the former leads at Crown Media who left after LGBT advert debacle now runs a revitalised GAC.
In what has been termed the “Christmas-Movie Arms Race” by TVLine the owners of Hallmark have signed the actress to an exclusive deal. Following on the heels of the departure of Candace Cameron Bure it seems Crown Media wants to reassure viewers.
Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President, Programming, Crown Media Family Networks released this statement:
“We are thrilled to have Taylor on board to star in multiple movies for Hallmark. She brings so much joy and positivity to the Hallmark family and we look forward to continuing our work with her to create heartfelt stories that will touch our viewers.”
Taylor Cole had this to say about the deal:
“I am beyond excited for what is in store next. Being able to continue creating such amazing stories is something that I hold near and dear to me. I am forever grateful for the work I get to do with Hallmark.”
Cole has appeared in a number of Hallmark features including Christmas movies One Winter Proposal and Christmas Festival of Ice. Signature Mysteries fans will recognise her as the star of the Ruby Herring Mysteries. She played a features reporter turned crime reporter relying on her investigative skills to solve murders with the help of a new police detective.
Cole joins Heather Hemmens, Brennan Elliott and Lacey Chabert as one of Crown Media’s recent high profile signings. Meanwhile Hallmark hasn’t revealed anything following their look at their mystery offerings
