HNN SPOTLIGHT: Melanie Leishman

Melanie Leishman is a Toronto born actress first known to me for her starring role on Todd and The Book of Pure Evil.

She made the biggest impression on me of the cast of that show. It was a strange experience watching I could only watch it censored and it was noticeable if not annoying. Regardless I watched both seasons and then tried to follow her career from there. Despite her nearly career heading towards two decades the only other thing I watched her in was Stage Fright.

Melanie is an award winning Toronto born actress. She studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.

Notable Roles

Old Stock – starred alongside Noah Reid in this comedy drama from 2012.

Below Her Mouth – a lesbian romance produced by a female led production crew. It starred Erika Linder and Natalie Krill and was released in 2016.
