Cross, the upcoming Prime Video series based on the Alex Cross novels by James Patterson has been renewed for a second season before the first season premiere.
The show filmed its first season in Toronto and the second season is set to start production soon in the city. Cross follows the titular character Alex Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist with a unique ability to delve into the minds of both killers and victims. These skills aid him in apprehending killers and criminals where others could not. He is a devoted father and family man but struggles with his focus on his work. A widower, still struggling with the loss of his wife he worries is he is incapable of finding love again.
Aldis Hodge plays Alex Cross in the series. Hodge gained fame for his starring role as Alex Hardison in Leverage. He went on to reprise the role in Leverage: Redemption. More recently he appeared in DC’s Black Adam alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Cross also stars includes Ryan Eggold (The Blacklist) as Ed Ramsey and Isaiah Mustafa (Shadowhunters) as John Sampson. Alona Tal (SEAL Team) plays Kayla Craig, Johnny Ray Gill (Underground) as Bobby Trey, and Eloise Mumford (‘Fifty Shades of Grey’) as Shannon Witmer.
Ben Watkins is showrunner on the project. His previous work include being the creator of Prime Video’s Hand of God series starring Ron Pearlman. Also he had writing duties on USA Network’s hit show Burn Notice.
We do not have yet have a premiere date for Cross Season 1.
