Allegiance, the Surrey set police procedural starring Supinder Wraich returns early next year for season 2.
The show proved to be very successful taking home the accolade of being CBC’s most watched new series. In season one we met Sabrina Sohal. A star rookie beginning her law enforcement career when her politician father Ajeet is accused of espionage.
Sohal serves her diverse hometown of Surrey alongside Vince Brambilla (played by Enrico Colantoni). He is a veteran training officer who sees her potential but doesn’t always agree with her forward-thinking methods. Allegiance sees a young woman caught between her allegiance to her flag, to her badge, and to her family.
Season 2 brings in a powerful set of engaging and topical storylines including online gambling, tech janitors and international schools. Lead character Sabrina Sohal (Wraich) joins the Serious Crimes Unit of the CFPC and has six months to prove she’s got what it takes to be a detective. She’s paired with a newly partner who has a decade more of experience compared to her and a very different approach to the job.
Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern serve as showrunners on the series. Anar Ali created Allegiance. Lark Productions and Universal International Studios are producers on the show.
Filming for Season 2 took place in Vancouver and Surrey and ran from 26 August 2024 through until 6 December 2024.
