Brilliant Minds Season 2 has begun production in Toronto.
Brilliant Minds follows a revolutionary, larger-than-life neurologist, Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto), and his team of interns as they explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while also grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
Casting Breakdown
The show stars Zachary Quinto, Teddy Sears, Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alexander MacNicoll, Aury Krebs and Spence Moore II.
Zachary Quinto plays obsessive genius Dr. Wolf, head of neurology at Bronx General, who’s drawn to people society has deemed as “other” and helps them find hope and purpose.
Teddy Sears plays Dr. Josh Nichols, a neurosurgeon who left a private practice in San Francisco to work at Bronx General and relies on technology to treat his patients — the opposite of Wolf.
Tamberla Perry plays Dr. Carol Pierce, the head of psychology at Bronx General and Wolf’s longtime friend.
Filming
Filming is set to run over the summer in Toronto, taking place at the Heritage Studio Soundstage. Michael Grassi is the writer/producer on the project.
The medical drama draws inspiration from real life neurologist Oliver Sacks and more specifically his two books:
- The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat
- An Anthropologist on Mars
Brilliant Minds Season 2 does not currently have a release date.
