The CW has revealed its Fall schedule for the 2022/23 after the cancellation blood bath that took place over Summer.
As we still wait to hear a final word on the sale of the network we can take a look at what this new leaner and less DC focused line-up will look like. There has been serious shifting around of shows with only two new show joining the fall line-up. The other two “new” shows are acquisitions.
Something New
Walker Independence starring Katherine McNamara (Shadowhunters) and Matt Barr (Blood & Treasure) is a spinoff of Walker starring Jared Padalecki. McNamara plays Abby Walker, a 19th-century ancestor from Boston, widowed when her husband is murdered on their journey out west. She sets out for revenge, meeting a man called Hoyt Rawlins on the way.
The second new show is itself a spinoff this time of the hit series Supernatural only the second in four attempts (don’t forget the anime) to make it series.
The Winchesters prequel centres around Dean and Sam’s parents, John (Drake Rodger) and Mary Winchester (Meg Donnelly), and is described as “the epic, untold love story of how John met Mary and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.” It will be told from the perspective of their eldest son, Dean, with exec producer Jensen Ackles narrating.

The Flash, Gotham Knights, Masters of Illusion, Nancy Drew, Recipe For Disaster, Riverdale and Superman & Lois. While it’s been confirmed that it will be Riverdale’s finale season it also seems likely that this might be the final run for The Flash.
What if any shows have you just added to your calendar so you don’t miss their premieres? Drop a comment and let us know.
