Toronto Area TV/Film Productions In July

Well it is certainly shaping up to be a hot one this July so let’s take a look at projects currently filming in Toronto.

As the people of Toronto attempt to beat the heat they should keep a look out for any of the tremendous amount of productions currently taking place across the GTA. Titans – Season 4

The HBO Max DC adaption is currently working on season 4. The show follows a group of young superheroes who work together to fight crime and evil. The team is led by Nightwing, Dick Grayson the first crime fighting partner of Batman.

Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, and Anna Diop star with The Originals star Joseph Morgan set to play the Big Bad Brother Blood. Filming should conclude by the end of the month with Titans season 4 expected to be premiere later this year.

Beacon 23 – Season 1

Based on the Sci-Fi thriller by Hugh Howey, Beacon 23 is currently filming in the city. Production commenced back in April on the show starring Lena Headey and Stephan James. Productions run until the end of the month.

Murdoch Mysteries – Season 16

Murdoch Mysteries the fan favourite period procedural starring Yannick Bisson returns to Toronto for season 16. Production is set to continue through 2023. The show takes us to turn of the century Toronto where police detective William Murdoch solves crimes in the city.

Rabbit Hole – Season 1

Paramount+ series Rabbit Hole is currently doing extensive filming in downtown Toronto. Filming will continue up to September on the spy thriller. Not much is known about the plot but we do know that Kiefer Sutherland is starring and executive producing the show.

The Handmaid’s Tale – Season 5

The Handmaid’s Tale is currently in Toronto filming its fifth season. The show stars Elisabeth Moss and Yvonne Strahovski, it is based on the bestselling novel by Margaret Atwood. Filming ends in July.
