The first major panel of MCM Comic Con London was dedicated to major game franchise God of War.

The turn out for the God of War was impressive for a Friday and they were in fine voice for guests Christopher Judge and Sunny Suljic. Kofi Smiles was the host of the panel.
I do consider myself a gamer but I haven’t played the God of War games but I have seen them and have an understanding of their impact. Still the tone of the conversation had with the two guests was unexpectedly touching.
A lot of the conversation was around the experience of being a father and a son and the parallels with their characters. It was a surprise to me at least that Sunny had been playing his character since he was 10 years old. That length of time inhabiting a character is pretty rare outside of soap operas and the some highly successful drama and procedural series. That is even more rare an occurrence for child actors who often find themselves swapped out after a couple years.

There was some discussion around the upcoming live action adaptation and of course the casting. Overall it was an excellent panel with some very insightful questions from the fans in the second half of the panel.
Here is the first 8 minutes of the panel. MCM Comic Con may later make the panel available in full. Don’t forget you can check out our YouTube channel for clips from a number of panels from this weekend.
