Absurdist comedy Love Is Not The Answer starring Pamela Anderson is currently filming in Ottawa.
Michael Cera (Superbad) will make his directorial debut with the project and he also wrote the script. The story is described as “precise yet unpredictable, absurdist comedy that moves between hilarity and heartbreak as it explores modern loneliness and the search for connection.”
Pamela Anderson is experiencing a career renaissance at the moment coming of the critical success of The Last Showgirl. She recently starred with Liam Neeson in the reboot of The Naked Gun. The British Columbia born actress and former model gained worldwide fame for her role in 90s hit show Baywatch
Steve Coogan, Fred Hechinger and Jamie Dornan also star in the comedy.
Filming on the project started on 10 November 2025 and will run until 10 December 2025.
