Actor James McAvoy, famous for playing Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films, will be a guest at MCM Birmingham Comic Con in November, organisers ReedPop announced.

Also known for M. Night Shyamalan films Split and Glass, the 46-year-old Scottish actor will be attending Saturday and Sunday of the show taking place at the NEC from 28 – 30 November 2025. McAvoy will discuss his award-winning career in a spotlight panel on Saturday 29 November on the Main Stage, and will be available for autograph and photograph opportunities over the Saturday and Sunday.
James McAvoy rose to fame thanks to his TV work, most notably Channel 4’s cult classic series Shameless. On the big screen he shot to fame following his role in The Last King of Scotland opposite Forest Whitaker.
A year later he won further acclaim for his starring role in Atonement opposite Kiera Knightley, following that up with a starring role in comic book adaptation Wanted. In 2011 he starred in X-Men: First Class as a young Professor X in the series’ origin tale.
In the years since, he’s starred in multiple X-Men sequels, as well as Filth, Atomic Blonde and It Chapter Two.
The fun begins later this week at Birmingham NEC and Hollywood North News will be there.
