Janel Parrish will star in a new Hallmark Mystery series called Family History Mysteries.
Parrish is famous for her role as Mona Vanderwaal in Pretty Little Liars and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. Hallmark veteran Niall Matter (Aurora Teagarden) and Morgan David Jones (Murdoch Mysteries) join the mystery series alongside Parrish.

Family History Mysteries: Buried Past follows Sophie McClure (Parrish) a genealogist with a special goal. Her expertise is to locate family members and reunite loved ones.
Therefore, when Jonathan (Jones) has a medical emergency and needs a bone marrow donor, Sophie has to work fast. She enlists her ex-boyfriend Jackson (Matter), who is Jonathan’s twin brother, to help her gather the information she needs to find their long-lost birth father.
Although Jackson and Jonathan never knew about their father, the end result makes her want to “explore the mystery of her own adoption.”
Janel Parrish appeared in the Netflix adaption of the “To All The Boys I Loved” series. She starred in Christmas comedy Christmas Is Cancelled for Amazon Prime as well as Hallmark movies Holly & Ivy and Right In Front Of Me.
Amber Benson (Morning Show Mysteries) provides the script with Jonathan Wright (The Royal Nanny) directing. Nikki DeLoach who leads her own mystery series The Curious Caterer Mysteries is an executive producer along with Joel Rice, Jonas Prupas, Carol Baum, Jane Goldenring.
