CBC Original Comedy Run The Burbs has begun production on season three.
The Canadian Screen Award nominated show follows Andrew Pham a suburban stay at home dad, his entrepreneur wife Camille and their two children along with a collection of oddball neighbours. The suburbs are of the fictional city of Rockridge based on Calgary Alberta. The show films in Hamilton, Ontario.
The comedy is known for its recognition of Indian and Vietnamese culture including an annual Vietnamese Lunar New Year – Tết – episode.
Run The Burbs stars Andrew Phung, Rakhee Morzaria, Zoriah Wong and Roman Pesino. Other cast includes Ali Hassan (CBC’s Laugh Out Loud), Julie Nolke, Jonathan Langdon (Robyn Hood), Chris Locke, Samantha Wan (Second Jen), and Gavin Crawford.
Pier 21 Films produces Run The Burbs. Executive Producers are Laszlo Barna, Nicole Butler, Karen Tsang, and Vanessa Steinmetz (for Pier 21 Films), Andrew Phung, and Scott Townend. Andrew Phung and Scott Townend created the show.
Jennica Harper and Nelu Handa serve as Executive Producers and Showrunners. Jay Vaidya is Co-Executive Producer and Sara Peters is Co-Producer. Jessica Daniel is Producer. Season Three directors include Aleysa Young, Pat Mills, Joyce Wong, Sherren Lee, and Zoe Hopkins.
The third season consists of 13 episodes and will premiere on CBC and CBC Gem in Winter 2024. The show airs on the CW in the US.
