SHIVER Reveals New Cast

Shiver is the latest book to film adaption that Hollywood is taking a chance on to get people and young people in particular back into the theatre.

Fans of the movie and TV industry will know that both go through runs of very similar titles. If you think of TV from the early 2010s it was YA book series being adapted for TV. That trend was similar but different to the YA Dystopian trend started by The Hunger Games in 2012.

Shiver is based on the first of a YA trilogy of the same name written by Maggie Stiefvater.

Grace (Maddie Ziegler) has always watched the wolves from her back yard. And one has always watched her back; her wolf. When Grace finds an injured boy named Sam (Levi Miller) on her back porch, she realizes that he is her wolf. Their time together may be limited as this is Sam’s last year as a human but Grace will do anything to keep him that way – even though it may cost Sam his life.

Cast

Maddie Ziegler became a household name through her run on Dance Moms moving on from that reality show to establish her dance and acting career.

Levi Miller is an Australian actor and model. He recently had a role in Sony’s Kraven The Hunter.

Sofia Wylie, Lyon Daniels, Iman Vellani, Ross Butler, Alicia Witt, Alexander Ludwig and Greg Kinnear also star.

Filming for this project took place in Vancouver and in Soundstages in Richmond. The shooting schedule ran from 28 October 2024 through to 11 December 2024. Catchlight Studios are producers for Shiver. Claire McCarthy is directing.
